Administrator for Front Office Operations

Responsibilities
General Purpose:
Working with considerable latitude and independent judgment, serves as the General Dentistry Administrator for Front Office Operations. Provides administrative and managerial oversight of the day-to-day front office operations, and direction of all administrative and personnel functions. Works with the Sr. Operations Administrator to develop, implement and evaluate the strategic goals of the General Dentistry division related to the clinic’s revenue cycle. Responsibilities include managing the billing and registration operations, dental treatment case management, accounts receivable management, patient scheduling, and managing the activities of the front office staff.
Responsibilities:
Hire, assign, and supervise activities of all staff. Control and monitor support staff patterns and expenditures.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, counseling staff and taking action on matters of discipline, promotion, terminations, salary and other personnel matters. Coordinates and develops staff training, including adherence to HIPAA regulations and policies.
Develop performance goals, monitor performance and coordinate training efforts for staff. Initiate related personnel actions.
Supervise the overall operations of the General Dentistry Clinic Front Office. Provide direction, supervision and support to front office staff. Implement procedures for enhancing levels of service and quality. Implement and enforce office policies and procedures. Ensure proper staffing to support daily front office clinical operations.
Use highly advanced patient family-relations skills and proficiency to address complaints and grievances, and intervene at the earliest possible opportunity to seek resolution. Collaborate with Social Work and Patient Family Relations to assist patients/families and staff with exceedingly complex situations in ways that are consistent with ICARE values.
Oversee clinical billing processes to promote and capture charges in a timely manner for revenue enhancement. Work with the Dental Central Billing Office to improve the efficiency, collections, and A/R of the scheduling and billing operations. Ensure internal controls are in place to safeguard cash collections.
Perform quality assurance monitoring for revenue cycle management. Measure quality, quantity and timeliness of patient registration, scheduling, eligibility, authorization, and patient collections. Identify trends of specific problems and recommend corrective action.
Review and authorize program expenditures, including; payroll, purchase orders, requisitions, petty cash vouchers, telecommunication and ISD requests.
Facilitate work groups, meetings and ad hoc committees. Attend appropriate divisional administrative meetings and EIOH committees, as assigned.
Qualifications:
College degree in business, healthcare administration or related field required.
3 years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience required.
Experience with axiUm and dental terminology preferred.
Should possess excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 20.00 - $ 38.46 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
