Responsibilities

The Strong Fertility Center at the University of Rochester is currently seeking a full-time Embryologist to join our fertility team in Rochester, NY. Candidates must be experienced in all aspects of the laboratory management of gametes and embryos including oocyte identification, sperm preparation, insemination, ICSI, embryo culture, embryo biopsy, assisted hatching and oocyte/embryo cryopreservation, oocyte/embryo thawing, and embryo transfer.

Candidates should work well with others, have good communication skills and possess the ability to supervise laboratory personnel. An excellent compensation and benefits package is available commensurate with full time faculty status at the University of Rochester.

The Strong Fertility Center is a busy fertility center with five academic board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists. The embryology laboratory provides treatment for all IVF procedures including all micromanipulation techniques. There is also separate andrology and endocrinology laboratories housed in the division. Candidates should have flexibility in their schedule and will need to be available on some weekends. The candidate is expected to teach medical students and residents who rotate through the Strong Fertility Center as well as in the training of embryology staff.

Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field.
