The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Rochester-Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) is seeking outstanding applicants for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, either as an academic appointment or a non-tenure-track professional service appointment depending on anticipated career path. Preference will be given to candidates with academic-oriented career goals. The primary responsibilities of this position is resident education, research and clinical service. This position entails supervision of residents in a very busy, newly renovated, outpatient clinic located at Strong Memorial Hospital, on-call responsibilities, direct patient care as part of the faculty practice group, participation in research programs and other collaborative activities within the EIOH, Medical Center, University and the community at large. We are seeking an individual with strong commitment to academia, teaching, research, scholarly activity and service to the community. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience and credentials. The candidate must have a DDS or DMD degree from a CODA accredited dental school and be eligible for board certification or be board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The candidate must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate license for clinical practice in the State of New York.
