The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, in Rochester NY is seeking to hire an ABMM certified or eligible clinical microbiologist. This faculty member would join an active unit within a well-developed clinical and academic program. The successful candidate will possess training and experience in the rapidly developing field of molecular microbiology as pertains to diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. Experienced individuals and new fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply. The initial academic appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level or higher depending on experience. The unit supports all manner of traditional and molecular testing in microbiology including virology, serology and immunology. The work environment is excellent with abundant and highly collegial interaction within Pathology, basic science Microbiology and Immunology, Infectious Diseases and other clinical departments.
