The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester Medical Center located in Rochester, NY is actively recruiting for a part-time outpatient physiatrist to focus on management of musculoskeletal conditions and perform electrodiagnostics.

We continue to track on a rapid faculty and programmatic growth curve supported by a brand-new state of the art Ambulatory Orthopaedic and Physical Performance Center. This position will work closely with current PM&R faculty to provide clinical expertise in the evaluation and management of hip/knee/shoulder musculoskeletal conditions and performance of EMG/NCS in the Department of PM&R Electrodiagnostic Laboratory. Though not required, this position’s role will have an opportunity to manage subacute inpatient rehabilitation beds. In addition, there is ample opportunity to pursue academic and scholarly activity and interests. This includes support of the education mission consisting of teaching and mentoring fellows, residents and medical students as well as the support to pursue research interests, including the opportunity to interface with basic science research with the Center of Musculoskeletal Research as well as clinical trials and outcome studies utilizing our large PROMIS database. This position comes with a faculty appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.

Ideal candidates would be BC/BE with experience in management of musculoskeletal conditions and perform of electrodiagnostic studies.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $245,476 - $346,177 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
