The University of Rochester Level 4 NAEC-accredited Epilepsy Center within the Department of Neurology invites applications for an academic clinician position in pediatric epileptology at an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. At the time of application, candidates must have 1) completed an ACGME accredited child neurology residency and be Board certified/eligible in Child Neurology and completed or be enrolled in either an Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology ACGME accredited Fellowship.
We seek a highly committed physician to join our supportive and collaborative environment currently comprised of two pediatric and eight adult epileptologists who will contribute to our academic, clinical and teaching missions in the areas of child neurology and epileptology. The successful candidate will be expected to provide clinical outpatient epilepsy care to pediatric-aged patients, inpatient care to adult and pediatric patients within the epilepsy monitoring unit, and interpret neurophysiology studies. As a faculty member there will be the opportunity to generate a research program. Academic collaborations within the department and elsewhere within and outside the Medical Center are encouraged.
The University of Rochester, Department of Neurology includes over 90 faculty with internationally recognized research and education programs. The Epilepsy Center was formed in 1990 and is fully comprehensive.
