The Department of Pathology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY is seeking an Assistant Professor to join the Hematopathology Unit. Candidates must be board certified in hematopathology and have expertise in morphologic diagnosis of lymphoma and leukemia. This position will include substantial protected time for academic activities. The definition of academic activities is broad including laboratory-based research, clinical collaborations, and education.

The Hematopathology Unit supports all aspects of clinical laboratory studies for adult and pediatric hematology including marrow transplant services. There is a close working relationship with the clinical lymphoma and leukemia programs as well as productive research laboratories. All would welcome the collaboration of this recruit, providing great opportunities for career development. There are two ACGME-accredited hematopathology fellow positions in addition to rotating pathology residents and medical students.

Board eligibility/certification in anatomic and/or clinical pathology, subspecialty training in hematopathology, and eligibility for licensure in the State of New York are required.
