University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking two OB/Gyn Hospitalists/Laborists/ Nocturnists for full or part-time positions as Assistant Professor. The role of the Ob/Gyn Hospitalist reflects the commitment of University Hospitals to safe, high-quality care for women. The position includes management of laboring patients and deliveries, assisting in or performing Cesareans, management of triage, and the prompt evaluation and stabilization of Emergency Department patients requiring gynecologic services. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient satisfaction and promoting a culture of safety by adhering to established clinical practice guidelines and using sound clinical judgment. The position will include active involvement in resident and medical education and supervision as well as opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives. The Hospitalist will cover nights and weekends alongside another OB/Gyn Faculty member and a 4 member resident team with a robust back up system of both MFM specialists and Gynecologists. 14 and 24 hours shifts available.
