FT position available, primarily days, minimal off shifts

Responsibilities

Nurse Educator will primarily focus on the orientation, onboarding and competency management of clinical staff, including agency/traveler staff. will work collaboratively with members of the orientation team to ensure a comprehensive onboarding program for new staff. Provides expert educational services that are focused on the assurance of service excellence in practice, the adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, and the development of staff and leadership through professional development, career advancement and the facilitation of team relationships within a service or unit. integrates technology along with adult learning principles for new and existing licensed and unlicensed staff and serves as an active educator in a variety of Nursing Practice educational offerings (e.g. core orientation, ongoing professional development programs, and American Heart Association disciplines) and hospital educational programs. BSN and Master’s in Nursing required with Two years of relevant experience in education, program planning/teaching recommended. Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in New York State. Basic Life Support Instructor and Certification a plus.
