Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The position collaborates with investigators and research assistants on high level disease modeling and clinical trial simulations. Includes clinical data analyses and writing related to these analyses for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities:

Under general guidance and supervision, with considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative:

  • Develop and execute disease progression modeling and clinical trial simulation studies through the development of mathematical models and/or machine learning algorithms with assigned diseases of interest to CHET investigators. Includes coding data, organizing datasets, statistical analysis, and use of various programming languages. Write programs in order to manipulate data to conduct modeling analysis.

  • Provide key components of data analysis development plans and provide input and scientific opinion to project teams.

  • Prepare databases for analysis related to disease progression modeling

  • Lead or participate in the development of summary documentations of data analysis projects including but not limited to abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and websites.

  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge in analysis approaches for disease progression modeling.

  • Stay abreast of current software programs and updates, including but not restricted to R, NONMEM, or Matlab.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors’ Degree with at least 2-3 years’ experience in research data analyses or bioinformatics; advanced degree and/or training in bioinformatics preferred; some experience with clinical data mining is a plus; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
