Location Psychiatric Department Full/Part Time Favorite Job Regular/Temporary Regular Schedule

FT position available, M-F Days, no on call responsibility.

Responsibilities

The NP will provide psychopharmalogical assessments with patients and families referred by the clinicians from the outpatient service and from community providers as well. Ongoing psychopharmalogical management of caseload of child and adolescent psychiatric outpatients. The NP will also participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Qualifications: must be a licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in NYS and possess ANCC Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. At least 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience required. Req uires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
