This position will be responsible for compliance, auditing, reporting and general operational support for the 10 current outpatient pharmacies as well as any newly on boarded regional partners. Serves as a liaison for the Operations Team to pharmacy management and others as relates to the operation and management of ambulatory pharmacy. This analyst will have the ability to step into any role within the Operations Team with the ability to work as part of a team or independently to provide seamless service across our department with daily tasks in each aforementioned area.


Position will report to the Business Manager. Responsible for monitoring his/her own performance on assigned tasks. Self-directed: Must make complex decisions independently with input from senior team members and Business Manager as necessary. The Compliance and Operations Information Analyst must work collaboratively with Business Manager and Operations Team to provide all required reports and data related to the operations and fiscal performance of the pharmacy operations on timelines that are established by the Ambulatory Pharmacy Business Manager.


The Compliance and Operations Information Analyst is expected to be competent with general pharmacy operations, routine office software applications (word processing, Excel, Power BI, web browsers, etc), and routinely utilizes multiple software packages relative to business and financial management. The Compliance and Operations Information Analyst must have reasonable knowledge and experience with computer hardware and software necessary to complete the duties of the job, including web-based and locally hosted applications.

Under general direction and with latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative:

Typical Duties:

  • Serves as backup to all analysts on the Operations Team, including the areas of managed care, inventory, compliance and data.

  • Directly participates in specialized Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly audits of each pharmacy using developed criteria to determine potential risk if audited by third parties or regulatory agencies . Analyzes data and provides reports and recommendations to Business Manager, this entails staying up to date with regulatory requirements and changes and third party standards.

  • Prepares the daily dashboard for review by Director, Business Manager, and pharmacy managers once weekly and as needed.

  • Participates in bi-annual inventory counts and those scheduled off cycle as required.

  • Serves as a resource for processing issues for all locations and a resource for the Managed Care Analyst as needed this includes assisting with credentialing and regulatory requirements. Will need to become fluent with third party commercial payers, NY Medicaid, Medicare and software processing systems within the department to assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.


    Bachelor's degree with major course work in social or technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pharmacy related work experience preferred. Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. Lean Practitioner Certification within one year of hire.
