ROC the Future (RTF) is a collaborative, community-wide initiative dedicated to ensuring that all children receive the opportunities and support they need-from birth to career-to succeed in school and throughout life . ROC the Future is part of the nationally r ecognized framework, StriveTogether, dedicated to building strong civic infrastructure that supports improvement in student outcomes through collective impact. The Continuous Improvement Specialist role supports a culture of continuous quality improvement utilizing Results Based Accountability within ROC the Future that supports the RTF Outcomes Framework . Th i s position will work directly with the RTF Outcome Teams and community leaders to facilitate key processes to accelerate the impact of our wor k.
Under the supervision of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Cl specialist will champion the use of CQI and Results Based Accountability tools, methods and approaches to build capacity among ROC the Future's collective Outcome, S t r ategy , Backbone teams, and community partners through active f acilitation , training, and presentations.
Actively assess the use of racial equity indicators in the work of outcome and strategy teams to cultivate the integration o f competencies, skills, and behaviors that promote organizational best practices.
Support the implementation of RTF's backbone team-based strategies to create a thriving organizational and workplace culture in alignment with St r iveTogether Theory of Action systems change benchmark .
In partnership with outcome team co-chairs , coordinate the agenda development, staffing needs, and meeting cadence fo r RT F outcome and strategy teams. Maintain an accu r ate catalogue of attendance records , action registries, project charters, meeting materials , and general outcome team communications .
Collabo r ate wi t h t h e Continuous Improvement Manager and D irecto r o f Resea r ch and A nalyt i cs to incorpo r ate relevant research studies and data use into the work of Outcome and St r ategy Teams. Provide regular updates surrounding project development plans through feedback fr om scheduled P DS A cycles.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in business management or business administration required
Two years demonstrated experience in project management, quality imp rovement, and planning in complex, dynamic work environment required. O r equivalent combination of education and experience required
Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives; experience in, comfort communicating complex information clearly in writing and in oral presentations to a range of audiences; and strong organizational and project management skills, and knowledge of Results Based Accountability required.
Demonstrated capacity to use quality improvement skills and processes. Ability to successfully champion the use of processes and systems, manage details and work collaboratively .
Possess general knowledge of K-12 and Post-Secondary Education and have motivation and passion for improving educational outcomes within urban educational settings.
Familiarity with the StriveTogether network, and the cradle to career framework.
Must have a keen understanding of issues concerning racial equity, and ability to participate in such discussions.
Adept interpersonal skills, focusing on building relationships.
Must be a team player who is respons ive to and supportive of the needs of others.
Holds an active NYS Driver's License and has reliable, available transportation.
