POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepares, handles, and processes information involving a variety of detail for a research, administrative, or computing activity, following written procedures and using some judgment to make indicated selections.
SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED:
No formal supervision is exercised. May train and/or direct the efforts of outlying data collectors or other staff as directed.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Typewriter, calculator, keypunch, CRT terminal or other direct entry device, an automobile and/or any other equipment which may be required for the job.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Receives, sorts and records input and output information. May collect and transport data from outlying collection centers.
Prepares the data for the principal investigator or for a computer processing center. Checks data before it goes to keypunch operators, updates files and corrects error lists prepared from computer edits.
May analyze data statistically using standardized statistical routines as instructed.
May administer some research procedures and collect data first-hand.
May code, keypunch and/or type data into a data base by way of a computer terminal or other direct entry device.
May perform typing, filing, fill-in on other positions and any other duties of similar scope and complexity in regular combination with this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires the ability to read, write and perform arithmetic through elementary statistics, or equivalent, and 1 year of related experience. May require a driver's license and the use of an automobile.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.86 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Opening: Full Time 40 hours Grade 005 Fitness Science
Schedule: 7:00 AM-9:00 PM: Weekends
