University of Rochester Data Control Clerk II in Rochester, New York

The Data Control Cleric will perform routine and non-routine duties, which may include those of a detailed and/or confidential nature. Duties will require knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the Flowcast system and processes within the department and support for the Charity Care Officers for the University of Rochester Medical Center. The Data Control Cleric will be responsible for processing accounts throughout the Flowcast system and Enterprise.
Under general direction from of the Patient Services Management Team and with latitude for initiative and judgment:
Process Systems Activity
Processes Charity Care adjustments within the Flowcast System for both Physician and Hospital Services based on routine report outputs as well as other sources. Will be responsible for calculating and inputting the correct adjustment amounts within the Flowcast System. Will retain the knowledge of what services may not be covered under the Charity Care Program. Will review and research presumptive Charity Care. Will review and research potential ways to improve the overall processes.
Processes all incoming Charity Care Applications in an efficient and timely manner. Sorts and routes incoming mail. Will update the Flowcast billing system accordingly, assuring that patient addresses and all pertinent registration data are accurate. Will update internal electronic files to show that a Charity Care application has been received.
Maintains Files and Processes File Requests
Establishes maintains and updates files accurately and timely; and in an organized manner.
