Gathers information, analyzes and interprets data, disseminates information; helps formulate goals, protocols and information gathering methods.
Statistical Analyst accountable for integrity of employment data submitted to journals/organizations for use in developing business school rankings; interprets data and formulates goals and information gathering methods. Liaison with Admissions and Registrar’s office.
Responsible for the accurate tracking, analysis and compilation of comprehensive individual employment data (internship and full time) for external rankings for all full time MBA and MS programs. Interprets data and formulates goals and information gathering methods. Ranking outlets include but are not limited to:
Demonstrates knowledge of MBA CSEA Standards for reporting requirements both MBA (1 program) and MS (4 programs) data; stays current with industry standards.
Data Integrity; reviews and signs off on accuracy of all data compiled and reports issued.
Prepare detailed documentation in the case of external audit. Oversee audit process and interface with independent auditors to produce required documentation.
Develop standard operating procedures, process maps, code manuals and project plans for all of major reporting projects
Protect/ensure confidentiality of data per Simon School policies and MBA CSEA guidelines.
Develop regular current as well as retrospective, multi-year complex reports as required for use by faculty, administration or internal CMC staff
Accountable for the preparation of monthly CMC dashboard highlighting key metrics
Work with Admissions/Marketing on data reported in MBA and MS Viewbooks, Employment reports, Website etc.
Collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders on generating final reports
Develops weekly student progress reports for MBA and MS career advisors
Prepare weekly “Dean’s Report” for Asst. Dean and Executive Director
Software/IT & Data Analyst and key/primary contact with vendor(s)
Updates and maintains the integrity of student databases (MBA and MS) on an ongoing basis
Conduct training sessions for CMC team, approved staff and students on effective use of technology such as Symplicity [our software system that includes student, alumni and employer data bases, interview scheduling, workshop sign-ups and attendance, student advising sessions, document library, data collection, surveys, mentor program, faculty and staff information, and many other features)
Devises methods and strategies to increase staff knowledge of, and expertise in, system functionality available for activities with students, employers, faculty and clubs, conducts various assessments
Evaluates new technology and resources for improving staff/student interaction and employment outcomes; provides analysis and reports related to research
Serves as liaison between Benet CMC and Greene Center (undergrad) office to facilitate students in both platforms (Symplicity and Handshake)
Responds to student inquiries within Symplicity
Other Strategic Assigned Duties
Collaborate with leadership on extra projects throughout the year
Recommendations for CMC improvements as available
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree with major course work in social or technical field and some graduate level course work in that field (or library science or information science), and 1-2 years experience in the analysis and dissemination of information; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of programming and statistical programming packages would be helpful.
