Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Plans, develops, and coordinates the prioritization of HR Information System teams associated with the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), MyPath, eCompensation and other related HR systems. Directs innovative strategy and optimizes the use of premier systems as a key member of the HR Leadership Team. Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with University Leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate the prioritization of projects and tasks for the HR Information System teams and programs at the University, supporting HRMS (Oracle PeopleSoft), MyPath (Cornerstone), eCompensation (Oracle Cloud Compensation) and other HR Analytics, Talent Management, Recruitment and Onboarding Systems.

Oversees the continuous operation of HR Systems, ensuring all Payroll deadlines are met. Works collaboratively with Finance and IT to ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans are in place. Works closely with business leaders, HR and IT partners to align technology with the requirements to promote efficiency across the enterprise.

Develops strategic initiatives for system upgrades, adoption of new features, migrations to new platforms or addition of new applications and systems to support University and HR Strategic plans. Obtains sponsorship and funding for major application implementation projects.

Leads requirement gathering sessions with business leaders to support key HR Systems initiatives and works closely with IT partners to deliver a comprehensive system solution to support the requirements. Ensures accessibility and usability of the tools provided through the system are understood and measured as relevant to overall value of the system.

Enhances utilization of the Cornerstone software suite, ensuring tools and procedures for talent development, talent management, and succession planning in partnering with the Sr. Director Learning, Clinical Enterprise, URMC and the Director of Learning and Organizational Development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis or Business Administration required

  • 7 years of related experience in HR Systems Project Management, including 5 years of HR leadership required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and build strong team-based relationships. Flexibility and problem-solving skills. Experience with Workday HCM, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Cornerstone Software Suite required

  • Project Management Professional certification preferred
