The Strong Fertility Center at the University of Rochester is currently seeking a full-time Embryologist to join our fertility team in Rochester, NY. Candidates must be experienced in all aspects of the laboratory management of gametes and embryos including oocyte identification, sperm preparation, insemination, ICSI, embryo culture, embryo biopsy, assisted hatching and oocyte/embryo cryopreservation, oocyte/embryo thawing, and embryo transfer. MS is preferred. Ability to obtain New State supervisor status in endocrinology and andrology is desirable.
Candidates should work well with others, have good communication skills and possess the ability to supervise laboratory personnel. An excellent compensation and benefits package is available commensurate with full time faculty status at the University of Rochester.
The Strong Fertility Center is a busy fertility center with five academic board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists. The embryology laboratory possesses all the necessary equipment to provide superb culture conditions and all micromanipulation techniques. There is also separate andrology and endocrinology laboratories housed in the division. Candidates should have flexibility in their schedule and will need to be available on some weekends. The candidate is expected to teach medical students and residents who rotate through the Strong Infertility Center as well as in the training of embryology staff.
