Endoscopy and GI Clinic at Sawgrass - Nurse Manager, Level V
The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager to oversee operations at a high volume, outpatient clinic and general endoscopy center affiliated with URMC. In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Medical Director of the unit, the candidate will manage daily operations for both clinic (Sawgrass/AC5) and the endoscopy unit at Sawgrass. Responsibilities include: supervision and development of Assistant Nurse Managers, clinical and clerical staff, operational oversight, staffing, problem solving, delivery of clinical care, maintaining standards of practice, assuring adherence to regulatory requirements, interpretation of policy and modeling of customer service skills. Nurse Manager will ensure efficient systems for patient safety, satisfaction and throughput, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Five years of nursing experience and minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required. Prior experience in management of an outpatient procedural unit is preferred and desirable. Must have an active NYS RN license. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred and required within 5 years.
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.
