Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Provide in-depth analysis of the URMC Pharmacy customer and user requirements, and develops both functional and technical specifications as part of the process to solve the users' needs. Designs solutions in current environment and creates reports for related pharmacy systems. Serves as the project support on multiple projects and completes required reporting of progress and status updates related to these various projects. Performs analysis and programming in support of Pharmacy reporting and analytical needs by working under the direct guidance of the Associate Director – Pharmacy Informatics.
Responsibilities:
Under direction and guidance from Pharmacy Management, supports Pharmacy Informatics projects including programming reports and data extracts for the department.
Coordinates assigned projects involving analysis, planning for reporting requirements. Partners with the Pharmacy IT team with the installation, implementation, maintenance and upgrade of pharmacy information and automation technology systems
Evaluates customer needs in relation to current system. Recommends and participates in design, programming, and implementation of systems reporting improvements to enhance management and decision support. Will serve in a consultative nature to create a stable environment while increasing efficiency and functionality.
Participates in related meetings which support various projects.
Coordinates associated reports; supervises procedural changes; designs and presents educational material; and coordinates communication with customers, providing instruction and assistance.
Evaluates customer requirements for projects; identifies and secures appropriate data to meet customer requirements. Trouble shoots operational issues and problems within the Pharmacy applications. Communicates and coordinates problem solving with appropriate internal and external sources.
Maintains current knowledge base and expertise relative to the Pharmacy system and programs. Consults with and educates customers. Investigates new technologies for applicability to Pharmacy.
Develops detailed work plans for assigned projects and assesses progress. Investigates opportunities for upgraded to increase productivity, streamline technical data.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering; and 3-4 years of related experience, preferably 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree, experience with Clarity, SQL, and EPIC Certification is a plus, 3 – 5 years’ experience with business/healthcare information systems data analysis, reporting, and/or programming.
