The Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a clinician-researcher and clinician-teacher, board certified/board eligible pediatric surgeon to join the faculty at the Assistant Professor level. An interest in advancing the pediatric colorectal program to a premier regional center is strongly desired. Faculty in this role will enjoy a robust, clinical practice along with 3 mid-level practitioners and house staff. The Division of Pediatric Surgery is located at the 245,000 sq ft. free standing Golisano Children’s Hospital which has been consistently designated as one of the Best Children’s Hospitals in the northeast by U.S. News and World Report. The hospital provides care for more than 74,000 patients and their families each year. The Children’s Hospital includes private rooms for children and their families, a hospitality suite, resource library and state-of-the art OR rooms. Our pediatric surgical specialists work exclusively with infants, children and adolescents and perform over 20,000 operations annually. They offer the most advanced surgical care in the region while providing a compassionate, patient and family-centered approach. The U of R is located in Rochester, New York and is surrounded by world class culture, affordable housing and nationally ranked public schools.
