Financial Analyst II

General Purpose:

The financial analyst will play a vital role in supporting the Capital SMH Finance team. This position will be responsible for reviewing and approving capital requisition forms, as well as monitoring capital project spend compared to budget along with support to senior accountant with business assets.


Processing of Capital Requisitions: Review SMH capital purchase requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and assign funding source to projects approved in Five Year Capital Plan

Capital Req Databases: Maintain multiple capital databases for all projects within the hospital, including monthly downloads of renewal and replacement FAOs to reconcile databases.

Capital Expenditure Summary: Generate monthly Capital Expenditure Summary report for Senior Leadership, reporting actual capital acquisitions and encumbrances compared to the approved capital budget.

Capital Project Forms: Review and approve all electronic construction project forms (100, 101, 102R and 104 forms) to assign funding approved in Five Year Capital Plan

Capital Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly financial reporting, including but not limited to, interest & amortization schedules.

Business Assets: Monthly reconciling general ledger to Business assets and year end tasks. Assist Accountant I in day-to-day functions of business assets, transfers, and disposals.

Other Capital Responsibilities : Miscellaneous surveys and other schedules as directed by Assoc. Director of Finance, Capital.


  • Bachelor's degree in finance functional area required.

  • 2 years of relevant experience required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Highly organized, keen attention to detail, team-oriented, strong reconciliation, and analytical skills required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $59,197 - $82,888 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
