GPS Health Project Coordinator

GENERAL PURPOSE:

This position serves as the Health Project Coordinator for the developing Gender Health & Wellness Service at URMC. The Gender Health and Wellness Service focuses on addressing physical and behavioral health (BH) needs of trans (i.e., transgender and gender diverse) adults in a supportive and compassionate environment.

The Health Project Coordinator will take the lead on collect satisfaction data, running interdisciplinary meetings to address concerns with patient satisfaction and quality assurance. The Health Project Coordinator will play an integral role in program development, implementation, data collection, and reporting for the Gender Health and Wellness Service.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the planning, implementation, coordination, operation and evaluation of a patient satisfaction.

  • Facilitates and/or participates in team meetings; play a key role in action planning, strategy development, problem resolution,

  • stakeholder engagement, community relations, and taking minutes

  • Provides professional direction within the project. Maintains a working

  • knowledge of the area(s) of expertise by reviewing research literature and abstracts, attending pertinent meetings and seminars.

  • Engage and track participating UR Medicine practices to schedule coaching/training sessions

  • Lead community group meetings and townhall events to illicit crucial community feedback and gather, track, and report back findings

  • Develop, implement, collect satisfaction surveys (patient and clinician)

  • Facilitate patient case conferences to ensure warm patient handoffs

  • Work directly with Gender Health & Wellness Service leaders with grant writing, project priorities, such as document updates and establishing and/or maintaining relationships with community

  • partners/agencies throughout the year

  • Analyzes data and prepares drafts of reports or recommendations for publication or grant requests or the like.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in an appropriate health, social or technical field and 2-3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Master’s preferred.

  • Knowledge, awareness or previous experience working with transgender and gender diverse individuals required.

  • Knowledge of REDCap, word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint are important required.

  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team, coordinate, and lead multiple activities required.

  • Ability to make good administrative/procedural decisions and judgements required.

  • Ability to work independently, to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $41,746 - $56,347 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
