Graduate Student Recruiter

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Graduate Student Recruiter position at the University of Rochester is instrumental in identifying and engaging prospective graduate students who align with the university's academic and research goals. This position recruits a diverse applicant pool for all graduate programs in AS&E to ensure the continued growth, innovation and impact of research at the University of Rochester.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Arranges logistics a schedule of recruiting events and represents the University of Rochester’s Arts, Sciences and Engineering graduate programs at fairs, conferences, and individual school visits

Manages and responds to all admissions inquiries from prospect, applicants, and admitted students

Annually audits and updates a communication campaign that guides prospective students through the graduate application process

Coordinates a social media strategy and generate content that targets key markets of prospective students

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Two-years of experience in sales, college admissions, marketing, public relations or related activities or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Basic computer knowledge is required; preferably with a student database. Valid Drivers License

Pay Range

Pay Range: $20.38 - $28.56 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
