Under general direction and with some latitude for independent judgment, provide coordination for a broad range of projects related to supporting child-serving organizations in their efforts to address whole child health. In particular, deliver screening services to individuals and organizations. Support the identification and development of tools, resources, and materials to support implementation of whole child health screening practices and overall prograrnrnmg.
Deliver screening, training and other program support services to child serving organizations and parents/families on topics related to whole child health screening including, but not limited to: social and emotional development, physical wellness, and cultural responsiveness. Program support may be provided one-on-one to teachers, childcare professionals and out-of-school time staff as well as to the leadership and administration of school districts, individual school buildings, child-care center directors, healthcare provider/centers and human service agencies.. Direct service to families; including discussion of screening results and support to connect with relevant services related to screenings. Develop and implement authentic family / parent engagement processes, communications, reports and activities. Develop screening resources, tools, and materials for dissemination to clients and partners in person or online. Prepare data for budget requests, financial reports and program reports Other duties as assigned
This position will have minimal authority on the overall organization. However, the individual in this organization will contribute thinking, ideas, and recommendations for the development of the organization's assessment, training and overall supports in service to children, families and program staff. Part 2:
The most important duties of this position are developing relationships with schools, early education centers, community partners and families, and then delivering screening, assessment and training services in a high quality manner.
The employee in this position will receive weekly supervision from the employee's supervisor. In these meetings, the employee will have an opportunity to discuss upcoming tasks, ask questions, and receive support for time management, task prioritization, and professional knowledge building. These meetings will also provide an opportunity for the staff member to make suggestions and recommendations and receive feedback on perfonnance in an ongoing manner.
Education: This individual should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (education, early education, social work, human development, psychology, etc.). A master's degree is prefe1Ted. Educational requirements may be altered in light of work and lived experiences.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge: This individual should have a strong knowledge of one or more whole child health domains (social, emotional, physical, or cognitive health). In addition the individual should have knowledge of social and emotional development, and child development. The ideal candidate will understand the operation of and management of one or more of the following: schools, early education centers, healthcare and/or human services.Finally, the individual should have strong communication and people skills including strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to develop relationships, and the ability to work with both senior level and front-line staff from a variety of sectors as well as parents.Spanish speaking preferred.
Kind and Length of Experience: The individual should have 3-5 years of professional experience working in a child-serving organization such as a school, early education center, healthcare or human service. or. Experience with project management is a plus.
