HIM Archival and Validation Analyst Sr.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Recommends, plans and executes programs and projects related to an assigned area of functional responsibility for improvement of Hospital computerized and manual systems or optimum utilization of resources to improve patient care and to control costs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction and with some latitude for independent judgment:
As assigned in areas related to Systems Analysis:
Proposes feasibility studies and management reporting systems. Designs and performs information systems projects which may include elements of systems planning, systems design, implementation planning and implementation supervision.
Coordinates implementation of limited scope systems changes, including supervising procedural changes, designing and presenting educational material and coordinating communications between Data Processing and the user. Works with the Information Systems staff, providing instruction, guidance and assistance whenever required.
Staffs committees relating to information systems planning and implementation.
As assigned in areas related to Methods Analysis:
Proposes feasibility studies, equipment justification, resource forecasts, staffing requirements, methods of continuous monitoring and specific means of reducing costs.
Designs, performs and/or supervises methods and work load studies; proposes cost and effectiveness analyses or works with departments (i.e., Accounting, Data Processing, etc.) in these areas.
Works on assigned projects which may involve researching, analyzing, planning and installing of new programs or facilities. When assigned, self-supervises all phases of project activity. Consults with supervisory personnel to carry out analyses of procedures and workloads, and in the implementation of approved recommendations. Recommends improvements in tasks methods, systems and facilities layout.
Participates in the write-up, preparation and maintenance of manuals, procedures and forms. Works with other engineers, analysts and technicians, providing instruction, guidance and assistance.
Contacts outside resources (vendors, consultants, hospital personnel, etc.) to exchange and gather pertinent information.
Performs other duties as specifically delegated and communicated by
either the Senior Systems and Methods Analyst or the Director of Information Systems and Methods Improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Systems Analysis, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other quantitative field and 3 years of related experience in Industrial Engineering or Systems Analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $52,000 - $90,000 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
