Hip Preservation Surgeon

Responsibilities

The Department of Orthopaedics seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position as an orthopaedic hip preservation surgeon. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in orthopaedic surgery with fellowship training preferably in hip preservation or alternatively in sports medicine with an emphasis on hip preservation including open techniques. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted New York State medical license. A post-offer health assessment is required.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include patient care, resident education, and research in the Hip Preservation Program of the Division of Sports Medicine in the Department of Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will participate in patient care in the clinics and operating room. Candidates with significant experience in open techniques such as disarticulation, peri-acetabular osteotomy and femoral neck lengthening are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate would join a multi-disciplinary team including three other experienced hip preservation surgeons providing the full spectrum of modern preservation techniques. The Department provides outstanding research opportunities through the Center for Musculoskeletal Research and our extensive patient-reported outcome data warehouse.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $350,000 - $720,000 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
