Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

Directs, schedules, trains, evaluates and inspects the work of the Environmental Service Workers. Environmental Service Workers are a part of a represented work force, therefore needs to abide by contract language. Responsible for daily interaction with customers and students in handling concerns. Follows University guidelines on matters of discipline, promotion, hiring and other department procedures, Employee Work Performance and makes recommendations in training. Proficiency in technology preferred (computers, email, database and payroll systems). Knowledge of regulations (State Fire Code, EPA Requirements, Hazardous Waste, EH&S Requirements, etc.) as well as UR Procedures (payroll, Budget Review, Operating Plans, etc.) Keeps up to date and accurate attendance records/documentation on each staff. Compose and deliver performance evaluations. Participate in routine rounding with staff, customers and manager.

Will need to respond to emergencies 24/7/365. Maybe required to work special events; UR Commencement and Meliora Weekend is mandatory. Other additional hours required as needed. Driving a UR Vehicle is required, therefore, must have clean MVA record.
