Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide data collection and data management services for the School of Nursing’s Research Facilitation Group. This position requires the ability to work on multiple research studies, utilizing different research methodologies and strategies in gathering, processing, and summarizing research data. Responsibilities include data collection, which may include in-person or over the phone gathering of research interviews, preparing data for completeness, data coding, data verification including a thorough review and correction of any errors made during all data processing procedures, maintaining strict confidentiality and storage procedures for all data, creation of instruction manuals and related documents.
Responsibilities:
Data collection:
Conduct in person and telephone research surveys and interviews. This involves working with study participants and using independent judgment to engage participants, and keep participants interested in continuing research. Uses strong interpersonal skills to keep participants engaged.
Verification of confidential data:
Verification of data that has been entered into RedCap and SPSS, resolve discrepancies and make appropriate changes to the data-set.
Code and prepare interviews in preparation for data entry:
This task involves the ability to independently make coding decisions and resolve problems with data gathering personnel. This task also involves the ability to examine research protocols and interviews for inconsistencies.
Perform literature searches:
Summarize and organize literature and provide guidance and suggestions for variable creation and variables of interest related to research study.
Administration:
Coordinate materials, needed for meetings, ensuring data is organized into a presentable and understandable manner and is appropriately disseminated prior to meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in social or technical field required.
1-year experience working with research data preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Knowledge of research and previous experience in SPSS is preferred.
Personal Transportation needed for off-site data collection required

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 20.38 - $ 28.56 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
