Laboratory Technician III (S)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Our laboratory is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Laboratory Technician III. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general lab maintenance and organization, as well as maintaining a mouse colony.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and supplies
Perform routine laboratory procedures, including preparing reagents and solutions, maintaining laboratory notebooks, and assisting with experiments
Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of a mouse colony, including breeding, genotyping, and record-keeping
Assist with data analysis and interpretation
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Attend laboratory meetings and communicate effectively with other members of the research team
Other duties as assigned by the laboratory supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required
Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques, including pipetting, gel electrophoresis, and PCR
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
