Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the skilled trades and off-shift shops including the preventive maintenance program. Develops policy & procedures to assure consistent business practices are followed. Monitors compliance with all departmental policies & procedures. Supports Supervisors in disciplinary and grievance procedures. Assures overall compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, NYSDOH etc.) through internal auditing of work records and database reporting. Represents and prepares reports on behalf of the department on the Environment of Care Committee (ECC). Provides coaching and mentoring to Supervisors to assure professional growth. Assures facility performance meets needs and expectations of customers.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction science, or construction management with 5 years of increasingly responsible experience, or an AAS degree in a trade related discipline with 8-10 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
