University of Rochester Ophthalmology - Registered Nurse-Level II in Rochester, New York

Schedule

FT positions available. Primarily days, 8 hour shiftsand 10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

RN to work with interdisciplinary care team in provision of clinical care to the Ophthalmology patient population. Role includes assisting in procedures, patient teaching, management of patient phone calls, and facilitation of patient flow in the area. Will work with faculty, ophthalmic technologists, residents, clerical staff and administration to assure efficient and quality service. Requires 3 – 5 years of RN experience, prefer ambulatory or procedural experience.

Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.
