FT position available.Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the daily operations of multiple ambulatory clinics in the Department of Orthopaedics. Seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on the use of technology in day-to-day operations. The primary objectives for this position are to ensure that all patients receive care consistent with the Medicine of the Highest Order standards, that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively, and that the staff is recognized for their efforts. The NM is responsible for the direct management of the clinical team including RNs, LPNs, ATCs, and Ambulatory Techs. Serves as a member of the Orthopaedic leadership team reporting to the Assistant Director and works closely with Nursing Practice to ensure compliance with all established standards. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies. Registered Professional Nurse, Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of experience in a health care administrative role in an organization of similar size and complexity with a significant level of accomplishment. Master’s degree required within 5 years of date of hire and an active New York State license in good standing.Qualifications
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
