Outpatient Access Specialist

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Under the direction of the Administrative Assistant and Administrator, processes patient information for Employee Health visits. Completes registration and check-in process, answers phone, schedules appointments for injury and non-injury visits, processes drug screen results utilizing Employee Health EMR. Monitors and ensures that functions are completed in an accurate, efficient and customer-friendly manner. Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School diploma required
1-year related work experience in an administrative office or customer service field; or completion of Vision Care 1,2,3 courses; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Medical terminology experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to word process documents and enter data into a database preferred.
Demonstrated skills related to achievement of customer satisfaction. Demonstrates the ICARE values to patient, families and staff preferred.
Ability to act as a resource to less experienced staff preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 17.00 - $ 22.10 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
