Pediatric Allergy - Nurse Practitioner/Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Exciting opportunity for a newly created APP position in the division of Pediatric allergy. It is a blended role consisting of delivery patient care for the pediatric patient with allergies, involvement in research studies and promoting quality and safety. Experience applicants will have 5 years’ experience in allergy and immunology or pediatrics; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Pediatric Allergy is preferred but not required. Experience in clinical research is preferred but not required. Must demonstrate excellent clinical knowledge and technical skills, good teaching ability and the desire to learn.
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
