Pediatric Cardiac Care Center - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities
In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the APP participates in clinical evaluation and management of pediatric cardiac ICU patients. Responsibilities include direct patient care for all ICU level pediatric cardiac surgical and pediatric cardiology patients. Responsibilities will include assessment of patients completing H&Ps, daily notes, care coordination, follow up on ECG/Cardiac testing, and patient/family education Additional responsibilities include participating in QI and research projects, educational conferences, and APP student precepting. Applicant should be highly motivated with excellent clinical skills, sound judgement, and able to work in a high acuity environment. Prefer applicants to have 1-2 years of relevant experience, but will consider exceptional new graduates. Requirements include: NY state licensure as an NP with National Certification within 3 month of appointment or Board-Certified PA. 1-3 years of pediatric cardiac experience preferred.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Physician Assistant
Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 92,997 - $139,506 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
