Pediatric Specialty Nurse for the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition - Level II

Responsibilities
The Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition is seeking a team oriented yet independent nurse to work within our rapidly growing multidisciplinary team. This is a family centered specialty providing Gastroenterology and Nutrition services to infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Functions of the position include procedures such as; PH probes, wireless capsule endoscopies, suction biopsies. Other duties include but are not limited to care management activities such as patient phone management, insurance justifications, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and patient education. Telephone management skills preferred but not required. Nurses must have 2-3 years nursing experience with Pediatrics or GI experience preferred. Must have excellent problem solving, prioritization, teamwork, and communication skills. Must be able to use independent judgment skills within the support of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 33.00 - $ 42.90 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
