Physician Support Spec

POSITION SUMMARY:

With minimal direction and considerable latitude for independent judgment, performs complex secretarial and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment in support of clinical, educational, and academic programs. Responsible for all clinic preparations, including but not limited to, providers’ time and calendar management while optimizing provider patient schedule, coordination of patient care and information/data support.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Clinic Scheduling—Manages provider clinic scheduling to optimize effort and template utilization.

  • Obtains outside Imaging and medical records—Ensures any outside imaging and medical records are obtained prior to patient appointment to provide optimal patient encounter.

  • Assists in the management of InBasket messages to ensure prompt response

  • Composes, edits and obtains signatures for non-routine letters of correspondence related to appeals on denied claims. This includes compiling all necessary information and drafts for provider signature.

  • Manages provider(s) documentation and information. Composes and types non routine correspondence providing factual information.

  • Assembles, from multiple tabs within the electronic medical record, the necessary details, for review and inclusion when completing disability paperwork.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Medical, Secretarial or related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 18.50 - $ 24.05 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
