Full Time 40 hours Grade 054 Materials Management Svcs SMHResponsibilities
Conducts specialized and highly complex analysis of financial data in support of the various university finance functions.
Identify and research material variances by working with university and related entity personnel. Analyzes workflows to identify and recommend changes that increase cost efficiency. Analyzes supply usage and works with materials management teams to inform par level and inventory level changes as necessary. Assists in the development and maintenance of algorithms to incorporate into supply and demand forecast dashboards. Performs root cause analysis of supply and demand issues and offers permanent solutions.
Conducts specialized financial analysis and expense performance comparison. Develops and maintains supply and demand forecast algorithms. Proactively researches and compiles information that informs supply or demand disruptions. Regularly monitors forecast accuracy, identifies, and implements changes to forecast algorithms to reduce rate of error.
Compiles and or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data analyzed. Makes presentations on areas of research or analysis. Prepares conclusions, forecasts and makes recommendations based on research.
Analyzes and interprets data, statistics and financial information and identifies significant differences in relationships among sources of information.
Assists in the development and/or modification of Finance policies and procedures.
Keeps abreast of trends as they relate to financial management and adapts new developments into planning, control and analytical processes.
As assigned, assumes responsibility for special projects involving research, planning and recommending changes. Assumes responsibility for the project, establishes time tables, activity plans and coordinates the efforts of any subordinate staff.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics or Business Administration required
Master's degree strongly preferred
4 years of related experience required
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, knowledge of Epic interfaces and clinical workflows, SQL, advanced knowledge of statistical analysis.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
