The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry, in Rochester NY is seeking a senior Pathologist with a funded research program, to serve as a Vice Chair for Experimental Pathology within a vigorous academic department, with particular strengths in cancer biology, cardiovascular pathology and musculo-skeletal biology. Candidates must hold an MD or MD-PhD, and be board-certified/board eligible in anatomic and/or clinical pathology. The anticipated rank is Associate or full Professor. While the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in thoracic pathology, other senior investigators are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong record of research productivity and continued extramural funding. The successful individual will have demonstrated ability for leadership and the ability to develop synergistic research programs resulting in expanded success and productivity for a large team of researchers.

The successful candidate will direct his/her own basic or translational research program, focused on mechanisms of human disease, including but not limited to cancer, immune diseases, cardiovascular disease and infectious disease.
