Full Time 40 hours Grade 000 Neurology Movement Disorders


The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking exceptional candidates for Division Chief of the Movement Disorders Division in the Department of Neurology. The Department of Neurology includes over 90 faculty and within the Movement Division there are 11 faculty members. The Movement Disorders Division provides diagnosis and comprehensive care to people with neurological movement disorders such as dystonia, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and related parkinsonian conditions, tremor, Tourette’s syndrome/other tic disorders, and tardive dyskinesia. This Division has been designated a Center of Excellence by the Parkinson’s Foundation, Huntington’s Disease Society of American and a LBDA (Lewy Body Dementia Association) Clinical Research Center of Excellence.

We are seeking a candidate who has a collaborative leadership style, effective communication skills and strong financial acumen. Candidates must be a proven manager who can organize a complex, sophisticated agenda, engage and hold others accountable, and collaborate broadly in a complex organization with an effective leadership style. They should have outstanding interpersonal skills, integrity, warmth, good humor, and a high level of energy and commitment, in a way that inspires, harnesses, and celebrates the success of others.

Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent and are eligible for a New York State Medical License, board eligible or board certified in Neurology to join our diverse and collegial faculty group.
