Project Asst

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Project Assistant will work under the direction of Technical Lead in the Data & Analytics team of University of Rochester’s Information Systems Division (ISD). Managers will introduce individuals to data and analytics processes and tools, and how they are leveraged in support of the medical center. Individuals will lead projects to be defined by the Data & Analytics team, and will present outcomes of project to ISD leadership team and executive stakeholders.
NOTE: This is an end dated position to end in August 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work under the guidance of the Data & Analytics Manager to assist with and/or actively lead activities pertaining to the assigned project.
Learn and utilize ISD data and analytics processes and tools.
Track lessons learned throughout assignment for presentation to ISD leadership team.
Learn and demonstrate use of Microsoft Office toolset, SharePoint, and other project office collaboration tools.
Work closely with manager, establishing a goal plan with objectives to be completed by conclusion of assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Entering junior or senior year in undergraduate studies in business administration, healthcare administration, engineering, or related field preferred.
Data & analytics course experience preferred.
No professional work experience is required.
1+ year of work experience is preferred.
Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new technology preferred.
Ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing preferred.
Solution oriented with a positive attitude.
Strong ability to prioritize. Strong attention to detail.
Reliable and able to establish trust with your team.
No professional certification required.
Must be able to travel to designated sites as assigned.
