The Strong Fertility Center is a busy and growing fertility center with five academic board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists and 3 APPs. The clinic provides a wide range of diagnostic tests and fertility treatments including ultrasonography, hormone assays, inseminations and in vitro fertilization. The APP will work in collaboration with a physician to assess/manage the fertility needs of patients. The APP will evaluate new patients via Zoom or in person visits and will order, interpret, and communicate results of clinical tests. The APP will prescribe medications and make recommendations for treatment based on evaluation. The APP will conduct pelvic ultrasounds and perform procedures such as inseminations and endometrial biopsies. The APP will gain experience and judgment to plan and accomplish patient care and goals. The APP will assist the nursing staff with telephone and Mychart triage and advice. The APP should have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse staff and clients and work with allied health professionals in an integrated, team based approach to patient care. Provider experience in OBGYN preferred. Qualified candidates will have a current NYS license as an NP or PA with national certification preferred. Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration is mandatory. Candidates should have flexibility in their schedule and will need to be available on some weekends.Qualifications
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Practitioner influences the quality and delivery of care in various roles including consultant, researcher, mentor, and practitioner. This role may be unit, program, or service based and is involved in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn.
