The Center for Translational Neuromedicine is looking for a Research Assistant Professor to support basic research in immunohistochemical studies sponsored by NIH, focused on studying chronic neuropathic pain. He/she will be responsible for supervising technical staff as well as undergraduates and graduate students with regards to quantitative immunohistochemistry, 2-photon imaging, and optogenetics. A major part of the time will be spent on both didactic and bench teaching of undergraduates and graduate students, and in some cases postdoctoral fellows, of quantitative analysis.
A successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field, at least 5 years’ experience in a neuroscience laboratory and a significant publication record in relevant field(s). Good attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and excellent communication abilities are absolutely critical.
