Scientist in Computational Hydrodynamics

Responsibilities
The Integrated Modeling Group in LLE’s Theoretical Division seeks a Computational Physicist (Assistant Scientist to Scientist position) to support the development and optimization of state-of-the-art multi-physics hydrodynamics codes relevant to Inertial Confinement Fusion. The successful candidate will focus on code optimization through improved algorithms and parallelization, including adaptation of codes to GPUs. The candidate will also develop new or augmented physics packages. Candidates should have a PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, Computational Physics or a related field. Diversity is a core value at LLE. Pay Range
Pay Range: $82,500 - $110,000
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
