Scientist in Computational Hydrodynamics
The Integrated Modeling Group in LLE’s Theoretical Division seeks a Computational Physicist (Assistant Scientist to Scientist position) to support the development and optimization of state-of-the-art multi-physics hydrodynamics codes relevant to Inertial Confinement Fusion. The successful candidate will focus on code optimization through improved algorithms and parallelization, including adaptation of codes to GPUs. The candidate will also develop new or augmented physics packages. Candidates should have a PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, Computational Physics or a related field. Diversity is a core value at LLE.
