Responsibilities

General Purpose:

Provide administrative support for Associate Director and Research Administrators in the Office of Research and Project Administration. Responsible for all administrative and clerical responsibilities for an assigned portfolio of departments. Assist with general office management and oversight functions.

Administrative support and clerical responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurate sponsored project proposal data in ORPA’s grant platform IORA (Integrated Online Research Administration) 60%

  • Compose correspondence for Associate Director and Research Administrators as requested 15%

  • Responsible for account requests and progress report notification to faculty and their support staff as needed 5%

  • Responsible for receipt and distribution of electronic sponsored project awards from federal agencies (NIH mailbox) 5%

  • Maintain electronic grants/proposals for department portfolios

  • Prepare and send electronic documents to the Office of Research Accounting and Costing Standards (ORACS) in accordance with defined parameters 5%

  • Pick up/distribution of dept. mail 5%

Requirements:

Associates Degree in Secretarial Science or equivalent. At least four years of general office experience. Experience in working in web-based platforms, data entry; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook mail necessary. Attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to communicate on a professional level are essential for this position. Experience with sponsored programs preferred.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.64 - $24.71 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
