University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a board certified/ board eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist interested in developing a career in a vibrant academic medical center. We are recruiting candidates for our Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness Service who have expertise in the delivery of care to children and adolescents with the full spectrum of mental illness and behavioral challenges.

This part-time position at the University of Rochester Medical Center includes an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at the rank of Senior Instructor or above, commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship. Teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees is an integral part of this position, along with clinical leadership as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. With over 58,000 visits per year, the Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness Service is the largest provider of outpatient services for children and adolescents in our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program includes a collaborative work environment of an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, RN’s, social workers, family therapists, and licensed mental health professionals. In addition to ambulatory services, our department provides a spectrum of services ranging from psychiatric emergency services, inpatient care, partial hospitalization, chemical dependency treatment, care management, and primary care. One of the nation's top academic medical centers, the University of Rochester Medical Center forms the centerpiece of the University's health research, teaching, patient care and community outreach missions.
