Senior ServiceNow Administrator/Developer

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior ServiceNow Administrator/Developer acts as a senior technical resource on the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Information Technology ServiceNow Team and develops, administers, and establishes standards and processes related to the ServiceNow platform. This position works closely with other team members on the technical and creative aspects of the design and development of the ServiceNow platform supporting the department and organization’s strategic plan and missions of education, research, and patient care. This team is responsible for the implementation, administration, development and support of Service Now and all associated interfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a senior technical resource in support of the ServiceNow platform. Operates in a lead capacity with minimal direction from the ServiceNow Platform Owner. Designs and architects technical solutions, which includes reviewing, guiding and mentoring others, and reviewing and approving deliverables of the team.
Participates in setting performance goals and providing input into performance evaluations for members of the ServiceNow team, where applicable.
Administers, develops, installs, tests and maintains support for the ServiceNow platform.
Initiates and facilitates meetings and follow-up communications with internal team members to assess work and provide assistance. This includes establishing platform best practices, establishing group development standards, and performing peer work reviews, as needed. Also includes conducting business analysis and requirements definition.
Maintains knowledge of platform and industry best practices and standards through on-going research of ServiceNow product documentation, training, webinars, community forums, and peer conferences. Learns, investigates, and applies research to develop solutions. Applies knowledge of industry trends and innovations to improve service to clients.
Meets with end users and clients to assess needs; translates needs and proposed client business requirements and develops into a technical solution. Provides solution recommendations and guidelines as requirements are gathered and proposed by the ServiceNow Business Analyst, other team members, or other ISD personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required.
Master’s degree preferred.
4-5 years of related experience required;
2-3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
3+ years of Servicenow development and administration experience preferred
Experience configuring and managing a CMDB, preferably ServiceNow preferred
Experience configuring ServiceNow’s Orchestration functionality preferred
Experience using ServiceNow’s workflow designer preferred
Experience configuring and using ServiceNow’s Performance & Analytics module preferred
Demonstrated understanding of relational databases and data models preferred
Possesses working knowledge of at least one structured programming language preferred
Experience with web technologogies, including : JavaScript and HTML preferred
Experience with web technologies & web services including: jQuery, REST, SOAP, JSON or XML preferred
Enthusiasm for learning new systems and business processes preferred
Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC, SQL preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills preferred
Service Now Administration certification required
ITIL 4 Foundations certification preferred

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 65,000 - $135,000 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
