Sr. Admissions Specialist, Warner

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sr. Admissions Specialist directs and manages all components of the Slate CRM system, including managing the application preparation process from the annual creation of the application and the rules that support it, building out the communications for both inquiries and applicants and updating the admissions portals. Related to the responsibilities for the management and support of the Slate system, this position is also responsible for the development and build out of reports both routine and one off reports in response to Warner and University requests. This position has critical responsibilities for student recruitment including hosting information sessions and representing the Warner School at recruiting events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enrollment Systems Leadership

  • Directs and maintains all components of the Slate CRM (Customer Relationship Management) instance to ensure all phases of the admissions/recruitment cycle and processes are functioning appropriately and adhere to industry best practices; includes the building, maintaining and successful execution of all areas of the CRM to support the recruitment, yield, and enrollment of Warner graduate students.

  • Represent the Warner School as the primary point-of-contact with Slate and liaise with representatives from other schools at the University, and University IT, to provide guidance and direction in matters related to the performance, usage and maintenance of the on-line application system (Slate).

Enrollment Systems Management

  • Oversees key systems integration, such as UR Student/Workday by working closely with key stakeholders within Warner and across the University to ensure internal data accuracy and timeliness of integrations.

  • Oversees yearly system clean up and cut over management to move entire CRM system forward to new Round.

  • Manages technical aspects of SLATE including workflow confirmation, writing reports and queries, and creating imports and exports of documents and data.

  • Develops Slate training materials and reference guides for staff and faculty. Trains admissions staff to enhance knowledge of Slate and maximize optimization of the CRM.

Recruitment

  • Manages recruitment travel, including strategic identification of new & profitable schools/territories and targeted marketing efforts to increase knowledge of the Warner School.

  • Develops and implements opportunities to reach new recruitment markets.

  • Leads formal group presentations and represents Warner at conferences and off-campus recruiting events.

  • Counsels prospective students, promotes Warner School programs, and assesses candidates for admission. Manages engagement with assigned programs, including developing individualized communications through various channels to maximize applications and yield.

Enrollment Data Reporting & Analysis

  • Anticipates data needs for Warner and University constituents. Analyzes complex data sets and makes recommendations regarding the school’s operations. Forecasts enrollment trends.

  • Builds evaluation and reporting mechanisms across the recruitment lifecycle, including microsurveys, surveys, interaction tracking, and funnel reporting.

  • Assists with data reporting to accreditation bodies (CACREP, etc.) and US News and World Report rankings.

Other Duties

  • Serves as liaison with Warner Student Services, Warner Finance, and University Bursar and Financial Aid regarding enrollment data.

  • Attends professional development opportunities related to admissions data systems.

  • Serves on Warner committees and working groups.

  • Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required

  • Masters preferred

  • 2 years of related experience required

  • 3 years progressive Slate and graduate college recruitment experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization required

  • Ability to analyize data, report and forecast trends required

  • Ability to think critically required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $53,500 - $74,900 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
