The Department of Psychiatry, a department of the University of Rochester, is recruiting a psychologist for the Institute for Family and Psychiatry.
This faculty position is headquartered in the Department of Psychiatry’s Institute for the Family where faculty have educational, scholarly, and clinical responsibilities in other departments (such as Family Medicine, Geriatrics/Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, or Surgery). This position focuses on communication coaching and psychosocial education with Ob/Gyn residents, and consulting on and treating patients in the Women’s Health Clinic. Mentoring, advanced family therapy training, training as a clinical supervisor, further training as a communication coach, and development as a scholar will be the primary responsibility of faculty in the Institute for the Family, in consultation with relevant leaders in the Department of Ob/Gyn.
PhD or doctoral equivalent in psychology, licensed in the state of New York, with experience in family and health/clinical psychology, integrated care, medical education, and communication coaching with physicians.
Must obtain NYS licensure prior to start
